To further our obsession with Colorado’s coolest vacation rentals, we recently discovered an amazing off-grid Airstream and teepee in the rural backcountry outside of Carbondale that we couldn’t believe we had never seen before on Airbnb.
What’s great about this unique Colorado vacation rental is not only its teepee, which also features a gas fire for staying warm on chilly mountain evenings, but it’s location is close enough to both Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Each destination has some really great attractions to keep your staycation or visit here extra fun.
In Aspen, Maroon Bells is one of the most visited and photographed destinations in Colorado, and there are seemingly endless options for exploring during your visit. And in Glenwood Springs, a 30-minute drive to the north, a visit to Iron Mountain Hot Springs is a must, in our opinion. Due to COVID-19, they have new guidelines for visitors, and reservations are now required. Still, they were easy to obtain, can be purchased online, and everyone seemed to be practicing perfect social distancing etiquette.
