Art Dolls by AKVARELA
We’ll never get tired of sharing unusual dolls and weird art, so when we came across these amazing gothic art dolls from Ukrainian artist AKVARELA, we knew we just had to dive right in.
There’s something very beautiful and regal about these creations. Maybe it’s their absolutely gorgeous outfits, styled hair, and poise, but these dolls pretty much embody grandeur from head to toe. Their expressions are a bit mysterious too, like you want to know what they’re thinking.
The doll shown above, an unusual depiction of conjoined twins in Victorian-era dress, is a one-of-a-kind art piece intended for collectors. She’s hand-sculptured from LaDoll polymer clay and painted with oil, acrylics, and dry pastels. All dolls are entirely handmade as sculptures using custom materials for each.
