Strange Sculptures from The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium
We love supporting strange art in all its gloriously odd forms, so when we came across the fantastically freaky sculpture work of Mike Wellins through Peculiarium PDX, we simply had to share the weirdness.
First and foremost, the Peculiarium isn’t just a corner of unusual merch within Etsy. It’s a full-scale brick-and-mortar emporium of weird located in Portland, Oregon.
Also known as The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium, this is one of Portland’s most curious destinations and a visual feast overflowing with unusual artifacts, original art, and unique gifts. It has a small admission fee - worth it! - and several larger-than-life-size alien and cryptid creatures you can cozy up with.
The work featured in this article is by Mike Wellins, artist and co-creator of the interactive space, and there are several additional artists featured on both their website and in store for those looking to expand their oddities collections.
