Miracle of America Museum
One of the coolest and most unique things to do in Montana is the Miracle of America Museum located in Polsten, 1 hour and 20 minutes south of the western entrance to Glacier National Park.
The museum was founded in 1981 and claims to house one of the largest collections of American history in the world.
We don’t doubt it. It’s truly a challenge to mentally absorb the enormity of the space, and really I should say spaces because the entire complex is made up of over 40 outbuildings all crammed to the square foot with artifacts.
The galleries are grouped into topics and cover all aspects of American history and growth, including military, transportation, agriculture, sculptures, bicycles, firearms, horse-drawn, village businesses, petroliana, and Americana. But that’s really just an overview. Take a look at their museum map to get a sense of all that you can see here.
Super fun UFO area in the back, including a replica alien autopsy scene. Just one of the countless curiosities that makes this place so unique.
