Where is psilocybin legal in the US? FUN FACT - In 2020, Oregon was the first state where voters passed a ballot measure both decriminalizing psilocybin and legalizing its supervised use. Colorado passed a similar ballot measure in 2022. There are several cities that had previously decriminalized its use starting in 2019 with Denver, Oakland, Santa Cruz, Washington D.C, the Massachusetts cities of Somerville, Cambridge, and Northampton, along with Detroit and Seattle.

Though these states and cities have these provisions, psilocybin remains illegal under federal law.
