KRAMPUS DECORATIONS
The legend of Krampus, also known as the German Christmas Devil, centers around a frightening folklore tale dating back to the 12th century. A dark-haired beast with horns and an epically long tongue, Krampus was said to roam the towns, thrashing his chains, and rounding up naughty children in a basket to take back to the underworld. Yikes!
He was also known to wield a whip and is essentially referred to as a wicked version of Santa Claus, potentially created to cast fear into the minds of small children… and adults!
In honor of Krampus, we’re sharing some of the best Krampus decorations we could find. This article was first inspired by the handcrafted Cat Catches Krampus plaque by Meant to Bee Creative.
Be sure to check out the entire collection for each artist. All of the items featured here are handmade, making them wonderfully unique (albeit scary) Christmas gifts or additions to your holiday home decor.
